Kerala CPI-M secretary M V Govindan said on Wednesday that the new governor should work in harmony with the state government in accordance with the Constitution.
The event took place at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, where the oath was administered by Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Vijay Bishnoi.
Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, his cabinet colleagues, MPs, legislators and leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah were present on the occasion.
