Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed the Jammu and Kashmir administration to ensure the full implementation of three new criminal laws, enacted under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by April 2025.
The Union home minister was chairing a review meeting in New Delhi on the implementation of three new criminal laws in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi said the new criminal laws represent a concrete step towards realising the ideals enshrined in the Constitution for the benefit of all citizens.
The new criminal laws, which were implemented nationwide on July 1, aim to make India’s legal system more transparent, efficient, and adaptable to the needs of contemporary society.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation the successful implementation of three transformative new criminal laws -- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam -- tomorrow, 12 noon at Chandigarh.
