The daily positivity rate stood at 0.15 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.14 per cent.
The number of active cases stands at 4,310, out of which 2,972 patients are being treated in home isolation.
The active cases declined by 5,672 to stand at 2,30,971, the lowest in 208 days, which is now 0.68 per cent of the total caseload.
The country has administered 89,02,08,007 vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, out of which 64,40,451 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
A steady slowdown in the rest of the country has brought the number of active Covid-19 cases below the 3-lakh mark for the first time in six months. Only five states-Kerala, Maharashtra, TN, AP, and Mizoram-are currently reporting more than 1,000 cases a day
