Rash Behari Bose is mostly known as a revolutionary in India, but he is remembered in Japan for another thing, which only a few know. During his stay in Japan, he introduced an authentic Indian curry that is a key dish on the menu at Tokyo‘s popular restaurants even today.

When the AICC met Subhas was in the peculiar situation of being the president without a Working Committee. Realising its untenability, Subhas had no choice but to resign, proving MN Roy's observation of the Congress being Gandhi’s Congress as correct. Subhas unlike Nehru did not want to compromise at the cost of his principles and sensibilities

As the President of the Haripura Congress (1938), Subhas' speech was a long one. He was sure that India's independence was imminent and therefore delved into issues of economic reconstruction. He proposed a planning commission and made it clear that post-Independence reconstruction would be primarily by industrialisation
