State Bank of India (SBI) on Friday reported 28 per cent spike in net profit at Rs 18,331 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. In the year ago period, it reported net profit of Rs 14,330 crore. On a sequential basis, SBI's Q2 profit rose 7.6 per cent from Rs 17,035.16 crore.
The company broke all previous records and achieved an unprecedented milestone by crossing operational income of Rs 10,400 crore.
With this growth, the company's consolidated net profit spiked to Rs 12,434 crore, compared to Rs 11,392 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
According to the statement from the company, the total income of the firm went down 1 per cent to Rs 60.19 crore, against Rs 60.81 crore in the year-ago period.
