Ranbir Singh said the main purpose of celebrating the day is to encourage, facilitate, and maximise voter registration and participation, particularly among first-time voters.
At a function organised to commemorate National Voters Day, national awards were also presented to important stakeholders like government media and communication organisations and other departments for their valuable contribution towards voters’ awareness during 2022 elections.
