Amrit Mahotsav Museum was today opened for public viewing in the presence of Burdwan University registrar Dr Sujit Choudhury, renowned historian professor Dr Biswanath Bandyopadhyay and Burdwan University Museum in-charge Shyam Sunder Behera.
The President said the NSS was started in 1969 on the occasion of the birth centenary of Mahatma Gandhi, who devoted his entire life in the service of humanity.
During the conference, Rijiju also spoke of the relevance of the Fit India Movement during the coronavirus pandemic since staying Fit and building immunity are two key factors in defeating the virus.
