The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR against the Chairman of Jet Airways, his wife and others on Friday in an alleged bank fraud of Rs 538 crore.
The ED carried out raids at Goyal's premises in Mumbai on Wednesday and also questioned him after filing the case, they said.
Two days before Jet Airways went public with a share offering in 2005, the government allowed it to operate international routes.
Justice Suresh Kait said no interim relief can be granted at this stage and added that he may deposit Rs 18,000 crore guarantee if he wants to travel to a foreign country now.
Naresh Goyal had resigned from the company’s board in March following the airline board’s meeting in Mumbai.
