The people of northeast India (NE), who were disturbed by some recent developments deteriorating bilateral ties with immediate neighbours, woke up to an impressive one-to-one meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh interim government chief Professor Muhammad Yunus on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the government will continue to strengthen the country’s maritime sector and ports, which play a crucial role in driving India’s progress and prosperity.
He said he was happy to share India's experience in setting up digital public infrastructure (DPI) with BIMSTEC countries.
BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation), the seven-nation grouping, brings together five Asian nations--India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka--and two Southeast Asian nations--Thailand and Myanmar.
'The bravery of 14 Corps will be talked about everywhere. Tales of your bravery and valour are echoing in every house in the country,' he said.
'India honours the spirit of friendship… she is also capable of giving an appropriate response to any adversary without shying away,' PM Modi had said.
In his message, the prime minister said our industrious CA community has a major role to play in ensuring a healthy and transparent economy.
She also claimed that only 60 per cent people in the state get central ration.
Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Narendra Singh Tomar, Ram Vilas Paswan and Piyush Goel attended the meeting.
