The crime branch of Delhi Police have apprehended four people for possessing and dealing with horns of rare white rhinoceros usually found in African countries, valued at Rs three crore in the international market. As per the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, greater one-horned rhino is listed under Schedule I which prohibits the capturing, killing, poisoning, or trapping of wild animals.
The crime branch team unearthed a honey trap syndicate for extorting money from gullible and apprehended three people, who were impersonating as Delhi Police officials, it said on Wednesday.
A team of Delhi Police Special Cell, Southern Range arrested a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh declared by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), who was accused of alleged involvement in illegal trafficking of Indian youth.
The accused was declared a proclaimed offender and was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000.

One of the masterminds behind the GTB hospital firing case in North-East Delhi, in which a 35-year-old patient was shot dead, was arrested from Meerut, the police said here on Thursday. Identified as Faheem, the accused planned the murder in GTB hospital at his rented flat on the instructions of a gangster.
The RPF officials said the employee taken into custody has been identified as Saabir, son of Shabbir. The RPF inspector Sanjeev Kumar said, the accused has been booked under Section 3 (a) of the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act for allegedly stealing the detonators.

The police have rounded up six men accused of assaulting and robbing two trainee army officers and allegedly raping the officers’ woman friend at the Jaam Gate tourist spot in Mhow near Indore in Madhya Pradesh at around 2.30 am on Wednesday.
The incident took place on August 23, when five armed robbers carried out a dacoity at a renowned Jewelry shop of Bhiwadi, and shot the jeweler dead. His brother and a security guard also sustained gunshot injuries during the heist.
