As per the police, a preliminary investigation revealed that the woman had been brutally killed.
The convict, a Tamil Nadu man, Sundar alias Sundararajan, had kidnapped and murdered a seven-year-old boy in 2009 following the inability of the victims’ parents to meet the demand of the ransom of Rs 5 lakh.
The dead body was shifted to AIIMS hospital for medical examination and preserved in mortuary for post mortem.
The accused's and deceased's blood-stained clothes have been recovered, according to the official. A new investigation is underway.
The two were arrested. While Mohit was sent to Fatehgarh jail, Bhawna was lodged in Muzaffarnagar jail.
