Mumbai Khiladis registered their first win in the ongoing Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 as they defeated Rajasthan Warriors 31-30 on Sunday, while Telugu Yoddhas held their nerve in the last 59 seconds to beat defending champions Odisha Juggernauts by 29-28 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.
Mumbai Khiladis on Sunday announced Mumbai boy, Aniket Pote, as the captain for second edition of the Ultimate Kho Kho, scheduled to be played from December 24 to January 14, 2024, in Cuttack, Odisha.
"The reason I want to be a part of this league is that I want to play a small part in the growth of sports in India. And I feel that if I am a part of this league then I could also inspire women to take up sports."
Speaking about the Mumbai Khiladis' preparedness for the tournament, Head Coach Rajendra Sapte said that the players are focusing on fitness.
