Gautam Adani and family have topped the 2024 Hurun India Rich List marking a 95% increase in wealth, bringing their total to Rs 1,161,800 crore.
In the cacophony of India’s political battleground, where accusations fly like arrows in a chaotic melee, the latest skirmish revolves around two names that have become synonymous with power and wealth: Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.
The business tycoon retained his position as both India's and Asia's richest person and as the ninth richest person in the world.
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the Forbes World's Billionaires List 2024 that features 200 Indians, up from 169 last year.
"At a time when a bright future is beckoning Reliance, what gives me optimism is our huge reservoir of young, dynamic and best-in-class talent. Our next-gen leaders are confidently taking over the reins across businesses," Mukesh Ambani announced.
These will be expanded to other cities and towns in phases rapidly to cover the entire country by December 2023.
