Haryana has made history by becoming the first state in the country to procure all 24 crops at the minimum support price set by the Union government, said the state's Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana on Monday.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, on Friday, gave its approval to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for copra for 2025 season.
A total of 6.41 LMT of pulses of Rs 4,820 crore of MSP value were procured from 2.75 lakh farmers during the Rabi 2023-24 season. This included procurement of 2.49 LMT of Masoor, 43,000 MT of Chana and 3.48 LMT of Moong at MSP to support the farmers.

Briefing newspersons, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said the MSP has been revised on the basis of the recommendations of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP).
Sarwan Singh Pandher of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee protest said, "If anyone tries to be unfair with the farmers of Punjab, then farmers from Haryana will also join Punjab farmers. Farmers are united throughout the country."
