Following a senior BJP MLA’s derogatory comments against Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the Madhya Pradesh State Assembly witnessed acrimonious arguments between the opposition Congress and ruling BJP MLAs on Friday.

Speaking in the house today, Chief Minister Dr Yadav praised the Opposition as well as members of the ruling benches. He also showered praises on Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
Mr Dewda said the interim budget was focussed on providing adequate funds to ensure the continuation of all ongoing welfare schemes, including the Laadli Behna Yojana.
The Governor did not complete his address and left the Assembly amidst the relentless din. Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar said the unread part of the Governor’s address would be deemed as read.
