A police complaint was lodged by the victim's father alleging that physiotherapist B Mahendran Nair molested his daughter while the girl was receiving physiotherapy from the hospital.
Initially he thought that it was by mistake but the accused continued to molest him till they reached Kashmere Gate.

The girl's condition is stable, according to police, and she is recovering at a private hospital.

The accused, said to be a local BJP ward leader, promised all help to enable her to join the party, called her to Khedekar's office and then allegedly molested her inside the premises late that evening.
