To set the disorganised bureaucracy in order ahead of fulfilling the promises made in the election manifesto apparently stays top on Mohan Majhi Government’s governance agenda.
Majhi visited Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das’s birthplace in Suando village near Sakshigopal in Puri district and paid tributes to the multi-faceted public figure in the pre-Independence era.
During the poll campaign, PM Modi had promised that all the four doors of Shree Jagannath temple at Puri will be thrown open for devotees within six hours of the party's chief minister taking oath.
Governor Raghubar Das administered the oath of office and secrecy to Majhi, his two deputies, eight ministers of cabinet rank and five Ministers of State (Independent Charge).
Mr Majhi first entered the Odisha Legislative Assembly representing the Keonjhar constituency in 2000.
The BJP legislative party, which met at the party office in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, unanimously voted in favour of Majhi.
