TB deaths reduced by 21.4 per cent

The incidence of TB in India has shown a 17.7 per cent decline from 237 per 100,000 population in 2015 to 195 per 100,000 population in 2023 while the TB deaths have reduced by 21.4 per cent from 28 per lakh population in 2015 to 22 per lakh population in 2023.

NPPA revises ceiling prices of 8 drugs

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday informed that the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has revised the ceiling prices of eight scheduled drugs that are used for treatment of several diseases including Asthma, Glaucoma, Thalassemia, and Tuberculosis.

India’s covid caseload crosses 93-lakh, 492 deaths in the last 24 hours

The country’s total Covid-19 case load stands at 93,09,787 with 4,55,555  active Covid-19 cases which is 4.89 per cent of the total coronavirus cases in the country. The total number of active coronavirus cases in India crossed the 4.5 lakh mark for the first time after nine days.
