Trump also said that he has "a great relationship with Mark," referring to retiring North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows, reportedly a possible replacement of Mulvaney.
The hearings will address "the historical and constitutional basis of impeachment," and "whether your alleged actions warrant the House's exercising its authority to adopt articles of impeachment," he added.
"Doral was far and away from the best physical facility for this meeting," acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said in announcing the decision.
