Mehbooba Mufti, on Sunday, asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to refrain from endorsing the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A by the BJP government in the preparation of business rules for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday refuted the claim of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on the “custodial death” of Makhan Din, a terror over ground worker, in Billawar area of Kathua district. The police claimed he had committed “suicide”.

Slamming the ruling National Conference (NC), Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday criticized the NC for its inaction on key issues, despite holding a significant number of seats, and asserted that the PDP would take the lead in fighting for restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, statehood, and release of political prisoners.
This was the first meeting of the PAC after the defeat of Mehbooba on Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat and also the INDIA bloc disowning her party by refusing to assign her party even a single seat in the elections.
