PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday commended the role of the party's three MLAs for effectively raising the demand for restoration of Articles 370 and 35A and articulating public sentiments in the recently held first session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
Speaking to reporters during her visit to Budgam district, Mehbooba expressed dissatisfaction with the resolution, stating that it failed to address the abrogation of Article 370 on 5 August 2019.
At least 74 employees were dismissed in the past nearly four years under Article 311(2)(C) of the Constitution by the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, on Wednesday, described the resolution on the restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir moved by the National Conference (NC) in the legislative assembly as “half-hearted” and “lacking conviction”.
People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti said on Thursday that her party would continue to observe the Union Territory (UT) Foundation Day as a black day till the special powers of the erstwhile state were not restored.

On Monday, Mehbooba wrote letters to PCI and Editors Guild of India on the “intimidation, snooping and harassment” of journalists in J&K alleging that reporting truth is being criminalized in J&K.
She further added: "Hazrat Khadija Tul Kubra, Prophet SWA's first wife was an independent & successful businesswoman. Hazrat Ayesha Siddique led the Battle of Camel & headed a force of 13000 soldiers. Islamic history is full of such examples of emancipated & empowered women.
Mehbooba said this on her Twitter handle and also posted pictures of the locked gate of her Srinagar residence and also a police vehicle parked to block entry of her house.
"GOI expresses concern for the rights of Afghan people but willfully denies the same to Kashmiris. Ive been placed under house arrest today because according to admin the situation is far from normal in Kashmir. This exposes their fake claims of normalcy," Mehbooba tweeted.
