Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Wednesday said the sanitation system in the national capital has completely “collapsed” under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Saturday said that it has cleared over 18000 metric tons of construction and demolition waste from prominent locations across the national capital during a drive conducted in the month of October.
She also raised concerns about the shortage of sanitation workers, particularly during the festival season, and instructed officials to ensure daily waste collection in densely populated neighborhoods.
He said the mayor had diverted Rs 1,500 crore funds from various departments to her privilege fund which is hampering the works at the departmental level.
She has also called for a detailed report on the budget allocations for road projects in the financial year 2024- 25.
The CM on Saturday hit out at the BJP, stating that the election conducted on Friday was unconstitutional and undemocratic, as the MCD Commissioner called a meeting on the orders of LG, while he has no such authority, she claimed.
BJP candidate Sunder Singh got all 115 votes of the party's councillors while AAP's Nirmala Kumari did not receive any votes.
Sachdeva said that no one can obstruct the election for the Standing Committee chairman important financial and administrative decisions in the corporation will be taken.
