The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday lifted the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) with immediate effect following the results of the Delhi legislative assembly polls and also the bye-elections in Assembly constituencies of Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
Alleging open violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by BJP supporters in Delhi, the AAP, on Tuesday, accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the police of targeting those who file complaints instead.
According to police, during picket checking, six individuals were apprehended, and Rs 1,50,60,000 in unaccounted cash was seized at three different locations.
