Many senior party leaders are upset with this appointment, The News reported. Following the recent notification issued by the PML-N president, Maryam Nawaz has formally become the second senior-most leader in the party after Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N leaders said that Khan started begging Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif two days before the "Azadi March" to announce a date for the elections.
The former prime minister said that the PTI had always been a peaceful party and had "never instigated violence or chaos".
Censuring Khan for his statement against the PML-N vice president, former president Asif Ali Zardari said that he condemned the derogatory language used by the PTI chairman.
A two-judge bench started hearing the petition at 11 am and after multiple breaks and back and forth, delivered the verdict close to 6 pm
Dr Khan also attached pictures of a letter sent by the Medical Board of the Services Hospital to Punjab's Health Department on Sunday.
Both the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Ministry of Interior couldn’t arrive at a decision regarding removal of the name of the PML-N supremo from the Exit Control List (ECL) for one reason or another.
The development comes after Nawaz Sharif acceded to doctors advice and family's persuasion to go abroad for treatment, days after he was released from a hospital.
The 69-year-old Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo was first taken to the government-run hospital in October after his health deteriorated.
