Pradeep Sarkar, noted for making films like 'Parineeta' and 'Mardaani', passed away after a prolonged illness.
Helmed by Gopi Puthran, the film will also cast Sudhanshu Pandey, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Shruti Bapna and others.
In the sequel, she will be seen battling a 21-year-old villain and will reprise her role of the police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.
