Congress witnessed a contest for the president post after 22 years on Monday with senior party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor pitted against each other. No member of the Gandhi family contested for the post of President.

"We have conveyed through diplomatic channels our objection over the video put out by the Pakistan Press Information Department and reminded them that the propagation of the images of Sikh terrorists is against the spirit of the corridor,” government sources said.
The government sources further told that the PM will address the public gathering around three kms away from the corridor.
The much-awaited corridor will facilitate visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims, who will have to just obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib.
