The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed a plea filed by senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia seeking relaxation of the bail condition requiring him to report to the Investigating Officer semi-weekly.
Former deputy chief minister has been moved to Jangpura constituency and the AAP has fielded educationist Awadh Ojha, who recently joined the party from the said seat. Sisodia has represented this constituency thrice.
Sisodia has been shifted to the Jangpura constituency, while Patparganj, his previous stronghold, has been assigned to Awadh Ojha.
During the visit to the school, the former education minister took a walk across classrooms meeting students and taking updates about their studies.
The meeting was attended by several senior leaders including Sunita Kejriwal, wife of CM Kejriwal, MP Sandeep Pathak, Delhi Convenor Gopal Rai, Ministers Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Imran Hussain.
Adhering to the Apex court's conditions, Sisodia went to the CBI office like an ordinary citizen, where he met his investigating officer and signed the attendance register.
Addressing a press conference here, Pathak told reporters that after meeting senior AAP leaders on Sunday, Sisodia is now going to hold a meeting with the party MLAs in Delhi on Monday.
The former education minister of Delhi gathered feedback on the current political situation in Delhi, leading to a detailed discussion on strategies to be employed by the party to win the elections.
