Sisodia, the AAP nominee from Jangpura Assembly constituency, made the statement after inaugurating his election office in Hari Nagar Ashram.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed a plea filed by senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia seeking relaxation of the bail condition requiring him to report to the Investigating Officer semi-weekly.
Former deputy chief minister has been moved to Jangpura constituency and the AAP has fielded educationist Awadh Ojha, who recently joined the party from the said seat. Sisodia has represented this constituency thrice.
Sisodia has been shifted to the Jangpura constituency, while Patparganj, his previous stronghold, has been assigned to Awadh Ojha.
A Delhi court is to hear on Friday the bail application of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the now-scrapped excise policy case.
Meenakshi Lekhi said, "They knew he was involved in this scam. This is an example of Chor Ki Dadhi Mein Tinka."
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari tore into all the nine leaders who wrote to PM Modi against Manish Sisodia's arrest, and alleged that they are involved in corruption and that attacking CBI and ED was nothing but a stunt to divert people's attention from the real issues.
The probe agency has also made a fresh arrest in the case as it took custody of Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai.
The BJP MP's remark came barely hours after the AAP alleged that the central government was "conspiring to kill" its leaders.
