Sisodia, the AAP nominee from Jangpura Assembly constituency, made the statement after inaugurating his election office in Hari Nagar Ashram.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed a plea filed by senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia seeking relaxation of the bail condition requiring him to report to the Investigating Officer semi-weekly.
Former deputy chief minister has been moved to Jangpura constituency and the AAP has fielded educationist Awadh Ojha, who recently joined the party from the said seat. Sisodia has represented this constituency thrice.
Sisodia has been shifted to the Jangpura constituency, while Patparganj, his previous stronghold, has been assigned to Awadh Ojha.
On June 2, the Delhi High Court had allowed the AAP leader to meet his wife from 10 am to 5 pm on June 3. However, the court said that he will be in police custody during the meeting.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minsiter and AAP leader Manish Sisodia who arrived at his residence on Saturday was not able to meet his ailing wife as she got admitted to LNJP hospital ahead of Sisodia's arrival, said Aam Admi Party.
Granting bail to the AAP leader a bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that he (Manish Sisodia) shall not interact with media, use a mobile phone or access the internet.
Police moved an application in Court seeking its permission to produce Sisodia only via video-conferencing, after allegations that he was manhandled.
