Congress on Friday said BJP national president JP Nadda’s letter to party chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Manipur situation was full of "falsehoods".
He referred to the Mahayuti government as a "50 khoke (cash boxes in Marathi), everything's okay" government.
The Congress leader accused the BJP of deliberately allowing the state to burn, claiming that at least 17 people had lost their lives since November 7.
Promises matter in elections because voters lack rationality. As election history shows, freebies do get votes. Hitherto, it was a time tested method of electoral success for a desperate opposition.
The Congress president outlined the MVA’s vision for Maharashtra centred on five key areas, agriculture and rural development, industry and employment, urban growth, environmental protection, and public welfare.
"Home Minister Amit Shah should pay attention to serious issues like Manipur, Census and caste census," Kharge said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman and other BJP leaders on Monday slammed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for "unnecessarily dragging PM Narendra Modi into his personal health matters", with his remarks that he "would die only after removing PM Modi".
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday said the Jammu and Kashmir is on the cusp of change, as the voting for the second phase of Assembly polls in the Union Territory gets underway.
Nadda slammed Kharge's attempt to defend Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling it an effort to "polish a failed product".
He called upon the voters to exercise their franchise and be the catalysts for change.
