The superstar in a statement on Friday said that illegal sand mining has raised several concerns including the theft of sand, inaction of the government machinery, continuation of the illegal sand mining operations despite a change in government in the state and environmental degradation.
The South superstar and founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam party said he fully supported young peoples' involvement in politics and warned the government that stifling of their voices, with those of other concerned citizens, would not be tolerated.
