Shiv Sena has been playing hardball with BJP after its performance in the assembly polls demanding the implementation of 50-50 alliance formula in the state.
The BJP-Sena combine bagged around 160 seats in Maharashtra, way below their expectation of crossing the 200-mark.
In Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is set to win a second term, though their numbers are likely to shrink in comparison to 2014. In Haryana, the BJP is set to emerge as the single largest party.
While speaking about the 50-50 alliance formula, Thackeray said, 'The main question is, who will be the chief minister?'
Sanjay Raut had earlier on Wednesday said its ally BJP would not be able to form the next government without the support of the Uddhav Thackeray-led party.
