Shiv Sena (UBT) has unilaterally announced that the party will go solo in the upcoming nagar panchayat, nagar parishad, zilla parishad and municipal corporation elections. Party MP Sanjay Raut announced this here on Saturday.

BJP MLA Suresh Dhas has made a sensational allegation that a meeting to discuss an extortion deal in Beed was held between Maharashtra food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde's associate Valmik Karad and officials of a power company at Munde's official residence in the Beed district, in June 2024.
The mobile phone recovered from Valmik Karad has added fuel to the controversy. "A case under Section 302 for murder will not be registered against Karad at all because his godfather is in power. I have exposed the chats to show the extent of these links," said Jitendra Awhad on Wednesday.
