The Prime Minister pointed out that the systems established by the vice-president, who is ex-officio Chairman of the Upper House, took the productivity of the House to newer heights.
Murmu received 2,824 votes with a value of 6,76,803 while her opponent Yashwant Sinha secured 1,877 votes with a value of 3,80,177.
Emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity, he said that “share and care is the core value of Indian civilisation.”
Naidu recounted his experience at the Sangrahalaya in a Facebook post and urged every citizen to visit it for inspiration and to be filled with pride.
Naidu arrived in the city by a special train in the morning and was welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya at the Ayodhya Railway Station.
“You should always rise above narrow considerations such as caste, religion and region and never disrespect other religions”, he added.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today called upon all stakeholders to make concerted efforts to improve cotton yield and productivity in India to enhance farmers’ incomes.
The Vice President was happy that women constitute 46 percent of the 31.65 lakh elected representatives of the rural local bodies in the country.
He also called upon Parliamentarians to visit the exhibition and know the contributions of freedom fighters and appreciate the efforts of ICHR.
