The pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) confirmed overnight that Lufthansa pilots would stage an all-day strike on Friday both for flights by the core passenger business and its cargo subsidiary, DPA, German News Agency reported.
"Predicting the weather even more accurately, analysing climate change even more precisely, researching even better how the world is developing. This is the goal of a globally unique cooperation between Lufthansa and several research institutes," Lufthansa noted.
The announcement indicated that a breakthrough in 'Air Bubble' negotiations has been achieved between India and Germany.
A German government stabilization fund will receive a 20% stake in the airline.
Merkel further said that an agreement could come shortly, but added that any deal has to be completed.
After a halt for some minutes, the flight-LX8915 is scheduled to reach at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport shortly past midnight on 10 April.
Apart from the major cities, the agreement also covers new cities like Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad, Goa and Pune.
'Lufthansa said in a statement that 'as safety is the number one priority of Lufthansa, the airline has temporarily suspended its flights to Cairo today as a precaution'.'
George Ettiyilas will oversee all commercial activities of the Lufthansa Group Airlines.
