Highlighting the transformative role of women in advancing India's growth, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday stated that women are not just participants in development but are taking the lead across various fields.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla visited Mahakumbh on Saturday and took a holy dip in Triveni Sangam.Speaking to the media later, he described the Mahakumbh as a symbol of India's spiritual faith and a celebration of the nation's ancient culture and religious heritage.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that Divyangjan are an essential part of nation’s march towards progress based on the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" which aims to include every individual, class, and community in India's development.
The sources further said the meeting, which was also attended by Union Ministers Dr S Jaishankar, Manohar Lal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Kiren Rijiju, and Chirag Paswan, discussed ways to ensure better floor coordination among the NDA partners during the session.
"Not just the TDP and the JD(U), even the people of the country are eagerly watching the election for the post of the Lok Sabha Speaker. If the BJP has no intention of engaging in any undemocratic act in the future, they should give the post of the Speaker to an ally," Gehlot opined in his WhatsApp media group here.
The Opposition maintained that the House did not have legislative competence to pass the Bill.
Speaking at the 20th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), India Region Zone-III, in Shillong, Om Birla said “Our behaviour with no one should cause any kind of pain to women and should not hurt their dignity.”
