The long jump finals along with other remaining summit clashes in the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2023 will be held on Monday.
Murali came into the Paris leg of the Diamond League after winning three consecutive gold medals.
Talking about his friend Jeswin Aldrin, he said: “Jeswin had an incredible jump of 8.42m, which not only set the tone for Indian jumpers but also for all the jumpers in the world. This healthy competition will of course help all the other jumpers rise and improve our own performances."

The 23-year-old, who holds the Indian national record in the men's long jump with an 8.36m effort at the Federation Cup earlier this year, got off to a slow start in Monaco.
"I think potentially Usain Bolt. I think that he could have long jumped nine metres had he trained for it," Powell said.
