Earlier, Pakistan approached the 'Permanent Five (P5)' member countries of the UN Security Council highlighting the Indian threat to regional peace and security.
Three civilians were also injured in the firing by Pakistani troops, police said.
There were no injuries or casualties from the incident till reports came in.
The Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in north Kashmir's Uri sector by resorting to unprovoked firing on Indian posts, the official said.
