He was briefed on ongoing Cease fire on the LoC, development works, the counter infiltration grid and operational preparedness.
In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said both the Armies have exercised restraint in the interest of maintaining peace along the LoC.
The consignment of narcotics was recovered by a joint operation by the Indian Army and J&K Police. The operation continued for two days on 19 and 20 January, said the spokesman.
