While polling for the seventh and the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections is on Saturday, Lok Janshakti Party President Chirag Paswan visited the Ram Temple here to have a darshan of Ram Lalla and pray at Hanumangarhi temple.
In 2019, both the BJP and the JDU had contested on 17 seats each.
"It is not right to share the talks that took place with the BJP on a public platform but it is certain that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest the Lok Sabha election from Hajipur," Chirag Paswan said.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting headed by national president Chirag Paswan in New Delhi on Wednesday evening.
It asked both the groups to furnish the name of their party and the symbols which they wish to be allotted for the bye-elections by October 4.
The executive committee of the LJP has 76 members and the majority of them are with Paras, electing him as the president of the LJP

The party which joined hands with NDA at the Centre refused to ally with BJP in Bengal saying it condemns “Ram-Rahim politics” but agrees with the Centre on the three farm laws which are opposed by chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
The first phase of the polls is scheduled on October 28 while the second and third phases will take place on November 3 and November 7 respectively.
