The court said that the law does not recognise live-in relationships as marriage and hence divorce could not be sought as a means of separation.
They were studying together and fell in love. They wanted to get married but the boy can get married only after the age of 21, as per the law.
Since both the women are above 18 years and one of them willingly left her home, the two were presented before an executive magistrate who granted them permission to live together, the police said.
