The women alleged that instead of providing drinking water to the people of the area, Delhi government is opening new liquor shops.
Everyone assumed that the liquor would remain barred from sale till the period weekend lockdown is in force that is April 30.
Liquor shops that had shut down during the lockdown, were allowed to reopen on May 4.
According to Delhi’s excise department, the shops can operate between 9 am and 6:30 pm on alternate days.
Under the e-token system customers are allotted a specific time to purchase alcohol.
Recently, the actor took to his official Instagram handle to share a still from Extraction but with a twist.
At Kalighat, the liquor store near the fire brigade station was one such example where the queue stretched beyond the visual range.
The state government had issued an order allowing state-run liquor shops to operate from 9 am to 6.30 pm in the city, and directed deployment of marshals at these outlets to maintain social distancing.
Since this year Bakrid or Eid-ul-Zuha and the last Monday of Kanwar yatra will fall on the same day - August 12, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to make proper security measures and check that no illegal slaughter takes place.
