Medicinal, aromatic farms to come up in Ladakh soon

The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, on Wednesday entered into a memorandum of understanding with the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), to set up a farm for medicinal and aromatic plants cultivation at Palam in Leh.

LAC standoff: Army chief in Leh to review situation

Army sources said Gen Naravane would be briefed by senior field commanders on the ground situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) where Indian troops foiled attempts by Chinese forces to alter the status quo at the south bank of Pangong Tso Lake recently and occupied some key heights.

India, China hold fresh talks on Ladakh stand-off

The main agenda of the talks is to address the situation at Depsang plains that has seen a big mobilisation by both sides. At today's meeting too, the Indian side insisted that Chinese troops must complete the disengagement process and restore the status quo ante which existed in eastern Ladakh in early May.
