The devastating series of floods, landslides and inundations has pushed the death toll to 112 in Nepal so far in the last 24 hours, as per data received from the Armed Police Force (APF) and the Nepal Police on Sunday.
At least six people were killed, and many dwellings were damaged in several rain-triggered landslides in Bangladesh's southeastern Cox's Bazar district, a senior official said Friday.
Search operations continued in the landslides-hit areas of the Wayanad district in Kerala on the sixth day on Sunday with more force and equipment.
The search and rescue operations in Kerala's Wayanad entered the fifth consecutive day on Saturday as several people are still feared trapped in the debris.
Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Friday confirmed 308 deaths in the multiple landslides that hit Wayanad on July 30.
The Ministry said 20 national roads, 12 power stations and eight water treatment plants were also destroyed.
According to reports, an army vehicle carrying some officers had a narrow escape when the landslide hit suddenly. All of them are safe.
