Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy announced the signing of former Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus on a two-and-a-half-year contract as a free agent.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reportedly sign a six-month contract worth about three million euros ($3.3 million) with a renewal option for another year.
Notably, the Swede had announced earlier in the year that he was not going to continue playing at the Major League Soccer (MLS) with LA galaxy.
Earlier, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had posted a video on his social media handle where an animated shirt of Swedish club Hammarby appeared with his name on it.
Reportedly, there was a rapid growth of interest to get Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has been managed by Mourinho at Inter Milan and then at Manchester United.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had joined Major League Soccer (MLS) club LA Galaxy in March 2018 after completing a two-year stint with Manchester United.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for AC Milan between 2010 and 2012 and scored 42 goals in 61 Serie A appearances before moving to PSG.
Ibrahimovic, who was bumped in the back by NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson before he grabbed Johnson by the neck in LA's 2-0 loss last Saturday, will thus miss Galaxy's home match against Colorado Rapids on Sunday and next Friday's away fixture at Orlando City SC.
Dan Beckerman, chief executive of AEG, the Galaxy's parent company, said Ibrahimovic was not motivated by dollar signs.
Seems like the towering Swede will be missed by his former teammates at Old Trafford!
