BRS working president and former industry minister KT Rama Rao has slammed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for making Hyderabad-based companies travel all the way to Davos in Switzerland to announce investments.
Even as former Telangana minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao faced a marathon interrogation for seven hours by the Enforcement Directorate, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the state police issued fresh summons directing him to appear before it on 18 January.
Former Telangana minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao is all set to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Formula E race scam tomorrow at 10:30 am after his quash petition before the Supreme Court was withdrawn today.
However, the former minister would be visible to his counsel sitting in the library through a glass window.
The BRS working president asked the Anti-Corruption Bureau probing the Formula E race scam to defer his interrogation till the Telangana High Court gives its verdict on his petition to quash the FIR against him.
Rao, popularly known as KTR, listed a number of questions on the scam starting with “Who are the nine bank account holders in Hyderabad to whom the ST Corporation money of Rs 45 crore was transferred?”
The Telangana High Court on Wednesday rejected a petition seeking a stay on demolition of a farmhouse abutting Osman Sagar Lake that was linked to BRS leader KT Rama Rao.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao threatened to not only remove the statue of Rajiv Gandhi once his party was voted to power but also change the name of the city’s international airport and the other schemes named after the slain Prime Minister.
In his letter, a copy of which was also sent to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, KT Rama Rao wrote, “The farmers of our state feel cheated and abandoned.”
Taking to social media platform X, Rao expressed his apprehension in a lengthy post. He said, “The alarming decline in Telangana’s IT exports is a matter of serious concern. Even more concerning is the fact that new IT jobs have fallen to one-third of the 2022-23 numbers.”
