After the Supreme Court stayed Allahabad High Court's order in Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to defend Places of Worship Act.
The bench said that the PIL is not maintainable as the several civil suits on the related issues are already pending consideration.
Posting the matter for hearing on October 3, the apex court sought to know the urgency of the matter.
Additional Civil Judge Senior Division III fixed the date during the hearing of the case. On Wednesday, a demand was made by the Krishna Janmabhoomi side for an inspection of the Shahi Idgah Masjid.
The court of Additional Civil Judge Senior Division III was hearing the of Hindu Sena Amin survey case today. During the hearing, both parties presented their arguments in court. The court has fixed the date of January 25 for the next hearing of the matter.
