I can say this for both me and Raj, Mani Ratnam was one of our favourite directors growing up. And, then when Ram Gopal Varma came to the scene, from his first film onwards, we were big fans of the work he was doing.
The film opened to a very positive response at the box-office as it earned Rs 6.83 crore and by the end of its first weekend, it crossed Rs 30 crore mark.
"I think Manoj is the quintessential common man who can rise above occasions and that is the essence of the character in 'The Family Man', said Krishna DK.
With its foot-tapping songs like Aao Kabhi Haveli Par, Kamariya and Milegi Milegi, the horror comedy had raised the excitement bar of the audience before the release.
