At least 12 Indian nationals have died while serving the Russian Army in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Friday.
The incident came to light following a PCR call to Fatehpur Beri police station about a dead body found in a vacant plot in Ayanagar.

According to the police, the incident occurred near Kadari area on the Khajuraho-Jhansi national highway 39 at around 5 AM.
The soldier lost his life in a gunfight that broke out in Modergam village of Kulgam in the morning when the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists.
