Emphasising that all must adhere to the Constitution and its Preamble, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, Monday said merely pointing fingers at each other won’t help.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday highlighted 10 reasons on why the Opposition submitted a no-confidence notice against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Addressing the gathering at Samvidhan Rakshak Abhiyaan function , the Congress chief said, “We don’t want elections through EVMs. We want elections through ballot paper.”

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday wrote to President Droupadi Murmu over the situation in Manipur, alleging the BJP-led government in Manipur and the Centre have failed in restoring peace and normalcy, and urged her intervention into the matter.
Kharge had said in Jharkhand recently that many sadhus have now become politicians and they are spreading hatred in the society by wearing saffron clothes and trying to divide people.
"BJP gives inciting speeches and speaks lies in order to divert people's attention from core issues," he alleged at a press conference in Nagpur.
Notably, the Congress has been demanding resignation of Buch following the Hindenburg Research report against her in August. The US-based shortseller alleged that Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch had stakes in obscure offshore entities used in the Adani money siphoning scandal.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday slammed the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government over reported deaths of several persons due to consumption of spurious liquor in Siwan and Saran districts, saying that the ruling dispensation has failed to stop the illegal liquor trade in the state.
"A detailed response will come from the party after talking to our grassroots workers, gathering complete information and verifying the facts,” said the Congress president.
